How it works

Four steps, and you know what happens at each one.

  1. We come look

We walk the space with you, measure, and talk through what you want and what it will take.

  2. You get it in writing

A scope of work split into phases, with the price and the payment for each one.

  3. We build it

Our crew does the work and keeps the site clean. You hear what got done and what comes next, and if something turns up behind a wall, you hear about it the same day.

  4. We walk it together

We go through the finished work with you and take care of anything left on the list.

Who we are

Refined Space Crafters was founded by builder Nick Parslow. We build decks, kitchens, bathrooms and built-ins across greater Saratoga, and we take specialty jobs a lot of contractors pass on. We have built a curved footbridge over a backyard pond, replaced worn-out bulkheads, and hung a long glass mosaic of the river for the Saratoga Rowing Association.

If you have a project you’re not sure anyone will take on, describe it to us. It takes a sentence and a photo.

Frequently asked questions

Questions people ask before the first visit.

What kind of work do you take on?

Decks and stairs, kitchens, bathrooms, built-ins and restoration of older homes, along with specialty projects such as bulkheads, outdoor showers and garden structures. If you are unsure whether your project is a fit, call or text us.

Where do you work?

Saratoga County and the Capital Region, including Saratoga Springs, Ballston Spa, Malta, Wilton, Clifton Park and Glens Falls. If you are elsewhere in the 518 area, ask; we take on projects farther out when the scope warrants it.

How does pricing work?

We come look first. Then you get a written scope with the price split by phase, and your payments follow the work. If anything changes, we agree on it in writing before the work goes on.

Who will I deal with during the job?

One project lead and one crew, from the first visit to the final walkthrough. You won’t be handed off to someone new halfway through.

Do you do aging-in-place or accessibility work?

Not yet. Safe at Home, our home safety service covering assessments, stair rails, grab bars and accessible bathrooms, is in preparation. Join the waiting list to be notified when it opens.

How do I get started?

Call or text (518) 932-9919, or use the form below. A sentence about the project is enough. We will reply to confirm whether it is a fit and to schedule a visit.
